Message Average speed limit on most highways / autobahns in Europe is 130 kmph. Thats right about 80 mph. Speed limits in Korea (when I was there) were about the same. Never got a chance to go to Japan while I was there. I would imagine Japan speed limits would be right around 120 to 130, but I am sure that there are those here that could tell you. And when I was in the middle east years ago, the speeds were pretty quick there too.

Why the US auto makers didn't put these items on US cars doesn't make sense to me at all. There are benefits to be had by alot of the little extras. But knowing the way the EPA and other parts of government work, it probably all had to do with the weight / fuel economy / emissions BS. Who knows?
